Myself, I am kinda glad it is in a warming trend.
It was the shits when I was a little kid and had to keep chasing the Wolly Mammoths out of my sand box cause they kept stepping on my toy wheels I had invented.

I guess you haven't read the first few pages of this thread yet?

'Articulate'...in this case, I believe 'bloviate' is the more appropriate term...

"It seems if scientists don't express the views of the political establishment, they will be threatened and that is a discomforting thought." Alabama state climatologist John Christie, a professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The United Nations graph below is one of the longest time series relevant to global temperature trends that is based on actual direct measurements.

You can see that there was a warming trend going on long before industrialization -- which did not hit Finland to any significant degree until the 20th century. So the warming is a natural phenomenon, not one caused by industrialization.

That graph is crap. It's obvious that the highs tail off AFTER the industrial revolution if you ask me. The lows only kick in after the 1900s. I'm getting a bit bored of this topic. If anyone seriously wants to defend the premise that not pouring shit into the air, into the seas and rivers, and chopping down our rainforests is a bad idea, then bring it on. Otherwise, bring some proper arguments and evidence to the table.
The truth is out there, but then I'm stuck in here.

Yes, the global warming debate is a pseudo-debate, not a core problem debate.
Thousands of scientists are occupied trying to prove whether there is an increased global warming or not and in the meantime, while waiting for their answer, we continue to pollute the nature.

    The simple core question is:
Is there any good or useful in the shit we are littering nature with ?
    The answer: No
The conclusion: Stop it immediately !!

Indeed, science in the US has been under constant attack since under the bible-hugging Bush regime.

I assume you do have your own opinions and aren't just some badly
written piece of software designed to post right-wing links on forums.

    You mean, like this?:

His views are completely at odds with the mainstream scientific opinion," said
Colin Wilson, a planetary physicist at England's Oxford University. "And they
contradict the extensive evidence presented in the most recent IPCC
[Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] report.

Amato Evan, a climate scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison,
added that "the idea just isn't supported by the theory or by the
    observations."

    Planets' Wobbles

The conventional theory is that climate changes on Mars can be explained
primarily by small alterations in the planet's orbit and tilt, not by changes in
    the sun.
"Wobbles in the orbit of Mars are the main cause of its climate change in the
    current era," Oxford's Wilson explained.

Looks more like a cut & paste than analysis.
It is indeed, it's part of the National Geographic article we were
discussing, why should I analyse it when I want to quote it and ask if
people have read it as it seemed to me that going by posters responses
they were only discussing the first page of the article?

Full marks for your reading skills but minus 10 for comprehension.

Comprehension?? You didn't get my point did you? You were criticising Boon Me for posting a link but not posting "some analysis of your own" but you did the exact same thing with that post of yours that I quoted, the only difference being that you cut and pasted a bit of it. Hardly "analysis".

Oh, and try not to fall into the same trap that most posters on this forum tend to do, which is to end a reasonably constructed post with a one line insult.

I thought farmers tended to spread shit (pig-shit, horse-shit, etc) to fertilise the land.

What's wrong with a bit more C02 to help the plants grow? They DO use it to grow, don't they?

Actually I was wondering about that. When I let them wrap automatically
the preview shows everything I write as being on one line. Thought
maybe it was a linux thing?

Yes, it's a pity that the "preview" doesn't show exactly what the post will look like. It doesn't show the panel on the left with the poster's avatar, etc.

I was criticising because the majority of BMs posts are links, not just
that one. That's not the case with my posts. That's what I mean by
not comprehending, I was talking about a pattern, not just a single post.
Next time I'll be more clear.
