Those peppers do look mighty good. I'll have to them with cheese sometime. Have a green for the pepper plate.

I'm out of greens for your red & yellow peppers dish.

    Have a thumbs up instead.

OK, halve the peppers, dribble with a little.olive oil and in a suitable.dish, put in the oven at 200deg C. While that,s happening, finely chop an onion and a couple.of cloves of garlic then saute in a little olive oil for a few minutes. Then add the minced beef for about 5 minutes until 'browned'. Then add 1 teaspoon of chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, some salt and.pepper and the crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes then remove from hotplate. Add about halfnof the cheese, which will quickly melt into the mix.

Remove the peppers from the oven and spoon the beef mix into them, topping with the other half of the cheese before putting back in the oven for 25 minutes.

    That's it, simple but great.

Uh, no. Completely incorrect. Sadly, cats do feature in chinese cuisine.

Showing your ingorance again jeff. Still, consider the source.

Had a cracking lunch yesterday in a village that we stumbled across on the Caribbean coast:

    Tilapia:

The remnants of my red snapper:

COP 55,000 (about 5/600 baht) with 2 beers, 2 fruit juices and 2 accompanying soups.

^ Gonna scratch your lenses if you keep putting the glasses down like that.

My mum used to kill me for the exact same thing when I was younger.

    They're already fucked .

Been after a new set of Ray-Bans for ages, but most of the recent frames and lenses make you look like you're auditioning for the Bee Gees, so my scratched and bent Japanese efforts will have to do for the mo.

Not a big fan of patacones. In my experience they are tough as cowhide without much taste.
    That fried fish looks awesome.

I try to cut them with my knife before I attempt to eat them. If the knife struggles to break them, then they're only gonna cost me money at the dentist, so they get left alone. Been doing ok recently though and the ones above were cooked well and not too sweet.

    They're growing on me...a little.

Are you based in Colombia, hal? I was there on a 5 week holiday, but I wouldn't have minded staying longer.

    Amen.

Found that the best everyday food in China came from the Muslim (Uighur) restaurants.

On the barbie last night. Shish kabobs. I wanted shrimp but this was to her liking. Anything grilled is fine by me.

Fresh shrimp dumplings made by hand and an icy cold beer. Shrimp inside were plump and flavorful. Came with a chili oil dip and soy and garlic. Preferred the soy and garlic
