Weekend stew recently: a massive pot of chorizo, lentils and pork (shoulder).

Like bacon, chorizo makes everything better.

I'm not in Thailand at the moment, but it is available and pretty easy to find in Bangkok (Villa Market etc).

It'd be hard to find a decent supermarket that doesn't have imported Chorizo!. This mob is local and making it in Bangkok, no idea if their products are any good or not though...

...it is also found on a number of local menus: I recently enjoyed a chorizo and mussels linguine at Pala...

Aye, start getting a wee bit nippit soon. Mind the gravy salt and oatcakes.

Knocked up a couple of Indian vegetarian dishes for M'Sahib's lunch. One, a twice cooked aubergine with tomato, onion and various spices, the other a green bean with ginger, green chilli, cumin and coriander.

In keeping with my diet of vegetables and protein, I have recently discovered the delights of Shakshuka.

Shakshuka tastes better with bacon even though its origins seem to be Semitic, Jewish or Arab.

Good bread or flatbread makes a meal.

    Renowned hangover cure.
