It's common in the American media to label critics of Israel with being left-wing. But this isn't true (see the most recent article by Maerstein).

As for the suicide bombings, they are a terrible things. But the suicide bombings in Israel were carried about by Hamas over the right of return issue.

Suicide bombings are terrible, but it's the only way to fight the Israeli government and military which get 2 billion USD per year in military aid, and an additional 1 billion per year to spend on anything it wants.

Because Israel is the occupier. Occupiers tend to have casualties in war. This doesn't make it right, and, neither is is right that the IDF kill civilians at a 4:1 ratio to Israeli deaths.

You just don't seem to want to acknowledge that Hizbollah started this mess. They didn't occupy shit before the loonies kidnapped the soldiers for no reason. The Israelis have withdrawn farther and farther ... have tried to appease the liberal PC crowd the world over ... and what does it get them ? More attacks and the incredulous support of terrorist sypmathizers the world over.

Do you even know why Hezbollah was founded? It was founded due to Israel's occupation of Lebanon in 1982. An occupation that lasted until the year 2000. As it turns out the deception and lies fabricated by the Israeli government so that Israel could justify the air attacks and invasion of Lebanon during that time is nothing short of contempt and arrogance of the worst degree. In the very least it should be grounds for war crimes tribunals.

The current situation, therefore, is nobody's fault other than Israel's.

Bad comparison, both were republics before voluntarily joining the United States.

I think he used the wrong term, "Israelis" refers to "Israel", which hsn't been around for very long.
One of the problems here is that "the land" is of religious importance for 3 religions, apart from the historic arguments.

I honestly can't remember now why it is so important for Islam.
