Great job Splitlid, your skills are certainly getting better from what I believe were excellent to start with. VERY IMPRESSED

that is bloody great, i really wish i could do something like that but i'm as thick as fvck
keep going splitlid!
hi danblack,
this is a screenshot of your model, is this exactly how you want it?
roof? etc like this or if you want changes then list them and i will do.
Hi Splitlid
I have a friend putting together an Architectural Schematic. I made a few minor changes including the roof line. She said it should be ready by tomorrow or so. It should be a lot easier to follow I am really looking forward to this
Rgds
Dan
whilst waiting for dan black to give me his stuff (have been told it will be today)
have been playing around with a few building blocks.
two more, the first is straight from renderer, the second with post processing in photoshop.
Splitlid
not sure if you have seen this page
Living in Asia
the plans are in the zip download - what I would like to be able to do is to take the plans and import them into a program so I can have a little bit of a play - I was thinking maybe google sketchup or is there another that you would recommend.
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
hi baldrick,
its a good question, and is something that would be amazing if only someone could programme it. but unfortuneately because the files are JPG files any CAD or design program will not be able to recognise what the items in the drawings are, for example how will a program know what is a wall or door if it does not have any script to read.
However, the JPG files can be used, but only as a reference to draw the house from scratch.
to do that the easiest way is to use sketchup, it has a very easy learning curve, and produces good results, and has many items and materials for free download from the internet.
other programs like autoCAD or ArchiCAD are harder to just pickup and play.
sketchup also has some great tutorials from youtube.just type in SKETCHUP TUTORIALS, and watch and learn.
failing that, post what you want here and ill see what i can do.

thanks Splitlid
I want to have a play with house 30 so I will see what I can do with sketchup
ok, danblack, i will start on your model now,if you do get some more details then please pass them on.
heres a new render of a ship.lots of photoshop, not many house designs at the moment, looking for inspiration, if anyone knows where to find some let me know.

Those virtual houses look great!
Can you picture some table and chairs, sofas, a TV... I mean a real thing, to be placed in it... The answer is probably yes as you fotoshop, can you show a sample of that mix ?
Virtual house and real picture furniture, bbq, car, whatever...
can, heres a quickie, about 10 mins work, mostly finding a bbq, sofa and tv
could be better but more time required
hi danblack, heres your model ready to go and be changed, its pretty much the same as your sketchup model. what do you want to change now?
ignore the colours, thats for my reference.

^^ Thanks for sampling !
One of the problem with real pics in virtual environment is probably the proper scaling for a good match, done a quite good job on that above !
your right, its pretty difficult in photoshop to scale and position objects, (well i find it difficult)
apparently Piranesi can do it automatically, you can download the trial version online here
http://http://www.piranesi.co.uk/trial/trial_home.asp
i have had a quick play aroung with it but not enough to do anything apart from draw smiliey faces(not one of mine)
the other problem with adding to existing pics is the tone, shadows, colour variation from one pic to the next. this is a little easier to change in photoshop.
That's great Splitlid
This may be your biggest challenge yet.
For a start I would like stairs from the back of the house (road side) down to a dock in the water. with a door leading into the lower level on the way. A small dock parallel to the retaining wall. Retaining wall about 1m. high, and a small speed boat tied up to dock.
I do not like the look of the roof and could use any suggestions for this (and anything else). I do want the front deck covered without taking away from the distant mountain view.
Maybe a car in the driveway and a few more windows
I assume the landscaping part will come later.
Do your magic![]()
hows this roof, sloping towards the road.
stairs and wall.
is this what you meant?
better windows and doors.
decking supports.
roof extension.
retaining wall higher.
multiple houses, with boats.balcony.

The klong looks a bit narrow now.
Actually, the place looks really good. Nice work again, Splitlid.
yep, well spotted marmite,
am waiting for a render to finish with wider klong, should be about 5 mins.
