Well, BO has gone and completely thrown Aunti under the bus — joining Obama’s poor grandmother. Over at 24ahead, Obama was asked by Katie Couric if he supported the deportation of Onyango:
If she is violating laws those laws have to be obeyed. We’re a nation of laws. Obviously that doesn’t lessen my concern for her, I haven’t been able to be in touch with her. But I’m a strong believer you have to obey the law.

^ Well, the libbie media closed the door tight on that story. Same as with Obama saying he would make the coal mining cos go bankrupt (funny that just showed up after all these months). Of course the big news is that he strives on even tho his granma passed on the eve of the election. RIP, Mrs Durham.
Shoulda had more Times reporters over to check out the real stories earlier.

What would you have him do booner? I suppose your all-American response would be to try and bend or break the laws for her because she's distant family, just like Sarah Palins vendetta against her sisters ex, plus anybody who refused to break the law to fire him from his job.

^ After all the stuff he wrote about her in his book, you can't tell me he didn't know she was living in the States.

Rick, the guy working for CNN used to work in Miami,….he’s an ass. Rick ran over someone while he was driving home from a Dolphins (football) game drunk,.the guy who Rick hit died.
However Rick does a good job with the interview with Joe the Plumber.

    From Americablog.com:
Tax cheat Joe the Plumber lectures CNN's Rich Sanchez about how his "principles" teach him that rich people shouldn't pay more taxes, but poor people should. Sanchez will have none of it. Which then forces Joe to start whining that he's a private citizen and all these questions are mean. Yeah, Mr. Private Citizen hired an agent and went on Larry King last night. Joe is starting to sound like a bit of a prissy pretty-boy celebrity, to me. Oh, and we learn that apparently, in addition to owing over a thousand bucks in back taxes, a hospital is coming after Joe for $1100 they say he owes them too. Some principles, deadbeat. It's about time someone exposed the little beeyatch.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Tax cheat? If it's property taxes, it's not uncommon for people to be deliquent. Local governments charge very low interest rates so some people take advantage of the 'low interest loan' so to speak by being deliquent in their payments.

Martin Nesbitt, treasurer of the Obama campaign has tax liens. His corporations have tax liens too. He can find the money to donate to political campaigns but he can't find the time or resources to pay his taxes.

Martin Nesbitt, treasurer of the Obama campaign (Obama is godfather to his son): His personal tax lien, his corporation's tax liens and more

Rev. Wright and the Trinity Church has liens against them too.

    Rev. Wright Federal Tax Lien

    Cook County recorder of Deeds

About Joe getting an agent and signing with a public relations company. I would guess this is to keep people from exploiting his name. If by chance someone were to make millions of dollars off using me, I would like to have a large portion of the money just to keep them from getting it. I mean, I'll take the money and enjoy it, of course, but I'll enjoy it even more knowing I screwed someone who tried to exploit me. Don't you leftists understand human exploitation? Why don't you want Joe to protect himself?

Vanessa Niekamp said that when she was asked to run a child-support check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher on Oct. 16, she thought it routine. A supervisor told her the man had contacted the state agency about his case.

Niekamp didn’t know she just had checked on “Joe the Plumber,” who was elevated the night before to presidential politics prominence as Republican John McCain’s example in a debate of an average American.
The senior manager would not learn about “Joe” for another week, when she said her boss informed her and directed her to write an e-mail stating her computer check was a legitimate inquiry.

The reason Niekamp said she was given for checking if there was a child-support case on Wurzelbacher does not match the reason given by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

So what do Obamathons think of that, eh?

“Our practice is when someone is thrust quickly into the public spotlight, we often take a look” at them, Jones-Kelley said, citing a case where a lottery winner was found to owe past-due child support. “Our practice is to basically look at what is coming our way.” - Helen Jones Kelly, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

The Governor, Ted Strickland, has put Jones-Kelly on paid leave while the investigation continues. Meanwhile, earlier this week, the employee who was ordered to make the checks told a very different version of the story than Jones-Kelly told a little more than a week ago.
Helen Jones-Kelley, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and former head of that department in Montgomery County, has been placed on paid administrative leave by Gov. Ted Strickland.

Strickland said on Friday, Nov. 7, that he took the action “due to the possibility, as yet unconfirmed, that a state computer or state e-mail account was used to assist in political fund raising.”

“I have asked Inspector General Tom Charles to include this matter in his current, ongoing investigation,” Strickland said in a press release.
Haha, looks like Helen 'hit the lottery' too. She deserves it.

Damn. I'd have shown up and asked him if he's paid his taxes yet. Once again, this is the best the Republican party has to offer. Oh, and he sold 5 books.

Taxes will go up under BO, and not just for the wealthy if BO wants to complete his programmes, especially healthcare. Hello, socialist America. Chavez would likely be one of BO's first state guests.

I remember seeing this statement by Obama. He did not stay what you state above in orange.

He said "we have to spread the wealth around."

This statement could have been made by a Republican.

It depends on how you "spread the wealth around."

more private sector jobs that create wealth.
    Supply-Sude trickle-down economics. Remember that?
    Tax cuts

What BO referred to, in thw how to do it, we do not know.

Another point is: the US government has been "spreading the wealth around" or "distributing wealth" for decades from US taxpayers to the Military Industrial Complex, to the Lobbyists, Wars, and now, from my generation to the Baby Boomers as they hit SS on Jan 1, 08 and will be on Medicare en masse on Jan 1, 2011.

^ spread/distribute, synonymous. I know you hate the "MI" complex, Milkie, but how would you replace it? What about the non-profits and folks like Gore and the Green crusade? Biggest waste of funds to date, I reckon.
I dunno where they will get the SS money. Anyone know when the libbie Congress will pass a budget?

    You don't replace it.

    You reduce it.

But with the power of the Iron Triangle --> Congressional appropriation committees, Pentagon, and MIC corporate lobbies, it is almost impossible to do.

Eisenhower warned the nation publicly a few times about this.

This is akin to the Devil warning of the coming apocalypse, yet cherishing the very fodder that fear accumulates. Eisenhower bled and peed the establishment....any 'sincere' warnings, and knuckleheads that bought into it, were nothing far from brilliant as it applies to social engineering techniques. Nothing ever seems to be as it appears.
