Setting up a business, How much should I expect to pay for a 4 milllion baht company

Hi all, my friend has just set up his business in Nonthaburi and the lawyer has charged him 100,000 baht to set it up, This only included the 1st 3mth 'B' visa and this didn't included the work permit!! the lawyer wants a further 40k per person and there's 2 westerners in this company.
    (Italian friends for many years)
these guys have paid 2mths tax a total of 6,000 baht for nov-dec 08' they are concerned because they have asked for reciepts for the tax paid and the lawyer refused to show any...now the lawyer is 'washing her hands of them'!!!! because they are demanding some proof of payment to her and the tax office.

This to me sounds like the typical lawyer got lucky with some innocent farangs story...but any advice....positive please..guys he's sitting right here...and I've said how cool this forum was!!!!! would be verywelcome Thanks all.

The 100,000 is already spent. Suggest you contact other firms for additional work.

We have a law firm that advertises here. See the banner above, Isaanlawyers.com.

Ive never set up a business here yet, I just googled "set up business thailand" and the BOI site was 3rd result.

Could have saved himself plenty with just a 1 minute search.

If your friends want help in sorting this mess out, I'd get them to visit a reputable company. Of course, they'll have to shell out a little bit more cash.

I've used this lot and they are ok.

As one of the founders of Sutlet, I can assure you they are a great company to work with.
They would have done the whole thing for less than you have already paid, and all above board.
    Go for it.

Why did your friend let the lawyer pay the tax - surely that is something sorted out by a cwertified accountent (which one is required to have, BTW)?
