Ruantalay in Bangsaray, sea food restaurant

This place is in the fishing village of Bang saray about 20 km from Pattaya.

As per usual you can choose which animals you want slaughtered for your dining experiance.

It seems these ones are quite popular to have killed.

The coconut milk comes with a nice orchid stuck in it.

The crab fried in a ton of garlic was really good, also the squid was quite nice.

The usual Tom Yam Krung for my son.

These were pretty bland, they just had noodles inside and tasted of crappy oil that had been used for too long.

The old fried rice was a bit bland and had too much egg in it for my liking.

    Some thumbnails of the place.
This young lady led us from the entrance to the actual dining area which is about 200 meters away.

    The broadwalk so to speak

A private functions room, they had a few of these.

    The pool room.

I'd add that Rim Talay, the last restaurant on the north end is pretty nice. And one thing that I noticed right away, as a closet Tree Hugger, is that all of the crabs, lobster and fish were of proper size, not baby-sized like you usually see.

The food was good, the service wasn't bad and the price was similar to what DD mentioned above. And the view!, see above...

The best way to get there from Pattaya is to follow Sukhumvit down to where the PPT Gas station is, about 16 kms south of Tepprasit Road (a few kms before the Route 332 Rayong turn off).

Follow the road to the beach and sort of keep to your right when you get into the town. The road starts going north again and there's parking on the right hand side when you get to the last restaurant.

There's a super skinny 'guard' there in a super old, over-sized security guard suit. I'm sure he's sleeping off Mekong most of the time, but I tipped him a 20, anyway.

When you leave, you can continue north along the beach and enjoy the view (if it's day time). The road goes for a few k's and then turns right, back up to Sukhumvit. Hang a left and back to paradise...
