Something like if their feelings were hurt by Pelosi's speech, he will be uncharacteristically nice to the folks who made the bill fail. Uh huh. And what about the folks on his own banking committee that voted against it? Beside that, I figured ALL of the Dems would back it, but no. The Dems retorted that they got the number of yahs they promised and the Reps did not cough up the number they promised.
Still, they have to come up with something. I think the market was just happy that the nays realised what a stupid bill it was and that it gives Paulson almost unfettered power. Big mistake. |
