I'd like to have a bike again , haven't fallen off in years ( haven't ridden in years either) anyone know where I can find a Vincent Rapide or Shadow - failing that a Nice G45 Matchless would be acceptable or an AJS or Matcho "Compi" ?

It burns!
Try a different colour? (white seems to work.)
Another classic,
can see more here. http://members.tripod.com/fredgassit/

Well they are a bit hard to read.
here's my K&N installation on the W. I put the crankcase breather right on top of the gearbox but it spat oil so it is ok where it is now and can't see it with the side cover on.

Fahn Cahn's

Here's a look out at the top of a hill I like to ride up. It's a good hill climb to get there.

No way you will find a Vincent here or any of those classics you mentioned. All long gone unfortunately.Originally Posted by Thaiguy
I have a W650 which is a modern alternative. There is one for sale in Bangkok for 135K. Let me know if you are interested, It is the same guy I bought mine off and he's a good guy to deal with (if you can believe that!)

for sale 1 triumph speedmaster 04 model 19 kl on the clock..but its here in ozzie![]()

^^ Wrong
I assisted in the sale of an AJS on here for a friend, check back through the classifieds section I think.
They are here, lots of classic bikes, but if you want an original you will pay, the AJS went for a considerable amount for Thailand.
There are two old 250 Norton poppers that I know of in my town. There are a lot of Honda GB 400s too. They are nice bikes to drive in Thailand.

^ I was told by my Thai mechanic that the GB400s have problems with the oil getting to the cams properly, it affects them more here in the hot climate. People who buy them do some sort of cam modification and drill a hole through it (I think that is what he said)
he didn't recommend one for that reason.
That's true. Had two of them, both had bad cams. Don't know if its a design flaw or the Thai heat. You have to change oil about every 2000Ks. 400s for Japan and 500s for export. I wonder if 500 owners in Oz report the same problem.

I own the following bikes
1, Beta Rev 250 2007 Trials
2, Honda 125 FI,
3, Honda super 400 ser 2
4, Vincent Rapide C 1000 1951
First 3 in Thailand, Vincent in UK in store

An SR400 or an older SR500 are easily available here as well.

The Honda XR's had the sameproblem same engine. I think it is because the cams run directly in the heads- no cam bearingsOriginally Posted by Camel Toe

You ar right of course, there are some but hard to find and the models he mentioned are nigh on impossible to find I would expectOriginally Posted by mrsquirrel
Well my bike frame and tins for the mutant chopper arrived a few days ago cost a little more than I expected, about 60K to fly it in from newyork to Bangkok and anther 45K to clear customs and get it up to Khon kaen. Now I just have to get the engine in and I can start getting it all together
^ Good luck mate, hope it all come together..![]()
