If Obama wanted to win its obvious he should have picked Hillary - this is where he made his major blunder.
Gaffs even came when he was announced as VP, got Obama's name wrong.

Obama had a chance, if he picked Hillary - his fate is sealed now.
Change mantra has been toting since he started - new way of politics, not the old politics of washington - even though he is part of it. Selecting Biden just reinforces that he is no different than any of the others in washington. (not surprised but smth he has been totally against since he started running for president)
Selection of Biden was a poor choice and he reacted to what the polls are telling him - this selection was obviously a response to the Georgia crisis and his european tour. It didnt help him, probably hurt him in the end. Selecting Biden he hopes will stop the blood loss, but ironic could have been avoided by selecting Hillary. Hence the poor decison maker.
