Watched the boxing and the star of the whole competition was without doubt the Australian commentator !!

Some of the expressions he came out with are worth bottling for later use

"If he landed that one it would be a certain cranium cruncher "
" He has an armoury of hooks like the inside of a butchers cold room "
' He splashed him on the canvas like a Pollack Jackson painting "
Referring to the Chinese super heavyweight - huge guy -" this man is a monstrosity"
" More hooks seen in this fight than at a pirates convention "

You Gotta love it - deserves a gold in his own right !

A right wanker but strangely entertaining at the same time.

Off topic but watched the Thai boxer win the gold last night and noticed 2 things

1. The first time I have even witnessed anything but a traffic jam on Soi Suk Sabai in Pattaya (no motor bike in sight) and

2. Probably the worst display of international amateur boxing I have ever seen. The Thai guy never threw a left jab in anger and still won the bout by 8 points.

He got up by a few points and then just avoided him for the rest of the fight. Doesn't make for an entertaining bout, but it does win the gold.
