I am going with Biden as the pick in spite of his denial. His foriegn affairs experience plue his ability to fight back at the Reps sure to come negative politics jabs at Obama are strong votes in his favor. Would make a great articulate attack dog for the campaign. He's also highly respected in Congress as an across the aisle consensus seeker.Originally Posted by Milkman

yes, i think biden will be great in this role....but he does have a bit of history of saying more than would be prudent.Originally Posted by Norton

^ and ^^ Biden would be a good pick. He does tend to "bloviate" (his word) but if they handlers can handle him, and keep him to keep his mouth shut, his age and experience would help balance the ticket.
And no, I better not try to call it again as I picked 2 different people and I usually get it wrong, anyway.
............

Hey, if he's crossing the aisle maybe he'll pick Hilldenbrand and send her hubby as ambas to Kabul.
You gotta have text messaging. He's sending the message out to all his $5 contributors first -- like his buds on the NYT, MSNBC and the Huffington Post.![]()
Let us know as soon as you get your SMS will ya Jet?Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

^ I still get them (joy). That's how I know. Unfortunately for you all, I didn't contribute $5 so I won't be getting the text message.
Really no text message! Of course I should have remembered, the $1,000 plus club gets a direct phone call.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

^ Guess it would help if I had a cell phone.
Tomorrow night we'll probably know. The job of VP is really a joke. You do nothing. But it's good for the speculation and the circus.
I'll go with Obama/clinton and McCain/anybody not nearly dead- well Ok Romney.
Think when push comes to shove Obama is showing that he will do what it takes, and as far as I can see Clinton still adds votes to his ticket (and not picking her will alientate totally a proportion of the democrat support base).

^ Butt out! I called that one already. Where's rc when you need him. 5555555555

Mr Obama and his running mate are set to make their first campaign appearance together in Illinois, on Saturday. We should know in a couple of hours time

^ Highly doubtful. But insightful. We'll know in a couple of hours.

good news for the obama campaign, and more importantly, good news for the future of america.

McCain's staff are predicting a 15 point bump for Obama coming out of the Democratic convention.
Awful pick - Repubs are going to slaughter Obama now.
