Really hard to show the color changes though.

^ that's a shed IMO. Bodykit is horrible and badly fitted, the alloys are a disgrace and the paint job is hideous. To top it off the chrome door pillars complete the look of someone that has spent serious money without having a clue what they were doing.
The wheels aren't even wide enough for the kit FFS.
Someone do the owner a favour; steal it and set it on fire.
Mortals you defy the Gods, I sentence you to travel among unknown stars, until you find the Kingdom of Hades, your bodies will stay as lifeless as stone.

Good thread, just hard to believe anyone would pay that much money to destroy the look of their car.
The iridescent paint is impressive as a technology but nothing I would use.
Another custom car found in Pattaya but without the flashy color changing paint job, I do like these doors though.
Why the black bonnets on all these Thai owned cars, is there a reason for it?
Class front disc brakes, rear is drum brakes but he still high lighted them in red for some reason.
Interior is alright.
All in all not too bad, just needs a flip paint job

wonder if those Brembo calipers are real? I know they were making some fake bike Brembos here or maybe Taiwan but here every little spunk bubble with a civic or Yaris has it fitted with Brembos.
Dunno how much they are worth but imagine the real ones are maybe half the price of the car at a wild guess about upwards of 50,000 a caliper, can't imagine too many Somchais being able to affording that.

Doubt it. They look like the plastic caliper covers. Size of the discs gives it away.Originally Posted by peterpan
You can pay that but they have cheaper sets to suit different applications.Originally Posted by peterpan
There are loads of cars around here with genuine Brembo brake kits, many with rear disc conversions.

This is a clean Yaris, far better than any of the junkers posted earlier. It has a full brake conversion but I'm not sure if they are Brembos or not. Looks sweet on 18's.

^ your GF's car?

Nope they are certainly not. Plastic imitations that clips over your standard calipers. Looks good from a distance. Every Yaris, Jazz, Vios seem to have them.Originally Posted by peterpan

It does have a proper brake conversion though, E-Spec not Brembo.

Here's another shot.

^ my g/f's car doesn't have a brake conversion. I was talking about that red Yaris!
I haven't bothered to collect the Yaris yet. Waiting on the insurance and tax.
Here's my pick-up though.

could do with 27" rims on that ride.
99% of anything with Brembo stamped on in Thailand is fake, as Peter already pointed out. Thais are fake and they love fakes. I though you knew this already tuddy?Originally Posted by EmperorTud

There was a Swiss guy, front name Dominic, who was in Bangkok, he had a proper eddy current load Dynometer built in OZ ( not a crap interia Dyno) , and all the stuff with it, AF analysis etc, The important thing was he really knew his stuff on tuning and automotive electronics, He designed and built new EFI control module that increased power on the local diesels. WE used his dyno on bikes occasionally but he had a falling out with the Thai garage owner and had to shift his Dyno. anyone know where he is or what happened to him?
Never been into the Hot looking street racer thing, in fact just the opposite. I drove this around in NZ and Australia for 25 yrs, had a succession of progressively bigger motors but ended up with a twin turbo F1 6 Litre Chev motor and drive train.
Perfectly stock looking inside and out apart from retro style wide alloy wheels painted to look like widened stock wheels.
Gave the wankers in their hot hatches and Subaras a fright when this 2 tonne 60+ year old car blew them away.

I know several people with genuine Brembo brake conversions.Originally Posted by Spin
