Ausie pigshit nonsense.

Hey 'geoff' did it take you a long time to come up with that screen name ?
Michael....while I agree with some of the reasons for changes, not all of the changes create the effect they want and some changes just downright do not make sense.
For example, my situation....I am under 50yo and cannot get the visa I have had for last 4 years now....because they changed it to you now have to be over 50yo to get the same deal.
So my question to the immigration lady that dealt with us when we went in at the end of March was....your rules now allow that guy over there (I pointed him out, there is always at least one in there at any given time of the day) becuase he is over 50yo, heck look at him he is over 70yo....he can have a child and stay here with his 25yo girlfriend with your full support......I am sitting here with my wife, a few years younger than meand an adorable little 3yo girl with the face of an angel and a son in school, I have not departed Los for over 3 years and all our holidays are spent travelling the length and breadth of the country....equates to lotsa dollars spent in los, not malaysia, vietnam, singapore or any other such country, here, my monthly income is also several times your 40k baht requirement, all of which is spent here..... but because I am under 50yo, I am not allowed to stay ? How are your rules working in this situation to keep the low life out ?
DocAndy...I did abide by the rules of this country, I did get a visa for several years based on those rules, then they change them mid stream. Fair enough, new rules, new deal, but when those new rules are not really fair for the situation or when there seems to be no way for seeking special reviews for specific situations, then sorry but in my opinion it sucks, your view may be different.
As for other countries and if the reverse was the situation...I agree with you entirely and I am happy you raised that important comparison.....my wife stayed in Oz for 5 years without a marriage certificate, she also has permanent residence, no work permit or such crap required, able to get all benefits, medical, unemployment, family, can own land etc etc if required and this was prior to having children also. So yes, I totally agree with you...fair is fair.
Good write up Nawty. Taking the time to sit down, compose and post your story is appreciated. Hope all turns out well for you. Will tune in next month to see how it all turns out.![]()

They could shut down all the red light areas tomorrow if they wanted.Originally Posted by Michael

Even better will be when you go back to get your year and they give you only 3 months like they did me. I had to wait to get my year VISA for 3 more months while they "investigated" the marriage by driving by our home to see if we were really living together.
No matter, in the end I got 14 months of stay instead of just a year![]()

I like your avatar Nawty.
Needless to say I'm not the only one.

I`ve got same view on marriage, wife to be said you might as well sign it as not then , can`t argue with the logic

Good luck
The 1 year visa is just barely better than going out, getting 90 days, then getting a 60 day extension though, so it's not all that it's made out to be. By the time you went back there 5 times every 30 day, the visa is half expired. Was like that with my last one.
And now, I don't qualify for the 1 year wife extension anymore even though I am married, have assets, even have income.
Immigration Office: "We need proof from the embassy, with an embassy stamp"
Embassy: "No, we don't do that."
And that was the end of the story. I went back and forth between the two parties a few times, even ended up having them call each other(!) - no resolution. Thai office wants it, embassy doesn't do it, not for anyone, not if you are Jesus Christ, not if you are Bill Gates. Mai pen rai.

I dont understand your situation Nickster, I presume that marriage is marriage and if you can prove the marriage then why would you not get it ?
You do not need an embassy to prove your marriage....or were you married outside los, then if so just go register at the amphur and get married again and show the thai documents.
I prefer the 1 year visa to the 90 day runs, did that long time ago and as of now I have not left Thailand for near 4 years.
I kind of hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, seeing as this time around they gave me 'consideration' it gives me the strength to continue even if denied again this time. Even just out of curiosity I would like to see how far I can take it and what the outcome is.
Based on my knowledge of you, refusing you is one way to start. How are your rules working in this situation to keep the low life out ?
tsicar, What are you doing in this yellow peasant's land? Get a grip old fellow and drop the racism.
I think he is talking about proof of income not proof of marriageOriginally Posted by Nawty

Ok, well if that is the case, which embassy is refusing to provide, because the Oz embassy does it no problem.
BobsKnob.....I know deep down you have feelings for me. Shame you're so immature about it.
555.
Then quit inviting me out every time you go.

You know I need someone around for those kodak moments....like for instance lets say a ladyboy should happen to fall over and her penis lands in my hand.
Is this really a forum for helping members with Visa problems or just an excused to slag off people with childish comments.
Pathetic.
For what it is worth . If you do not qualify for the Visa or Extension you cannot get one.
What's the problem.

are you nuts?!!!
i love the yellow peasants!
it is just the self-important ones who think that an iq of 5 and an uniform gives them superior intellect that get to me. there are many intelligent, descent thai people; many unintelligent , descent thai people, and then there are those who give me a reason to revert to being a racist.

i doubt it. if that were the case, they could do it more effectively by closing down all the cat-houses. it is not the farang you describe who give thailand a bad reputation, they only give farang a bad reputation. do not be surprised if they revoke all long-stay visas soon, and issue "whoring visas based on stupidity and induvidual income visas" only.
edit: sorry, didn't read page 2, where emperor tud just posted almost identical reply
Usually the latter. You really are quite new to the Teak door dynamic aren't you?Originally Posted by Lite Beer

So, little update.
Last month I went in at the 30 day date and waited 3 hours and received another 30 day wait...'still under consideration'
Last friday I went in again as the second 30 days was up and I was totally surprised to be in and out within 20 minutes....but got another 'under consideration' stamp.....pwease come back in 30 days.
I think they are just going to give me 12 x 30 day consideration stamps.

Kind of an update....I received a call from immigration yesterday to come visit them and bring some documents with me and the kids at 9am desk #20
So I keep the kids outa school, dress em up nice and toddle off there at 8.30am
Get to the desk and sure enough, as I thought the hag at #20 has no idea, she calls over the work experience uni girl and tells her to give me a number.
Just what I want, waiting for 4 hours with 2 kids and 1 with a case of the shits every 5 minutes.
I call the number that called me and luckily it was a mobile number and not some 02 desk somewhere and the immigration lady looked up and saw me immediately, waved me over and asked for the house reg book she asked me to bring yesterday...now problem was I did not hear house reg book yesterday on the phone and did not bring it, but I had 2 live kids withme.
So had to go away and come back later again.
All excited I was as I thought the special invite might be them wanting to give me residency or a thai passport or something similar for fcuking me around for so long.
That was it, bye bye....
So if anyone can help with this thread as I need some other shit maybe to help things along... https://teakdoor.com/doing-things-legally/34222-thai-passport-and-house-reg.html#post729282
