Can you figure that once upon in a time firearms did'nt existed and people were able to live or fight as well ? By reading your comments about guns it seems vital for you. I wonder why.
And I'm not a pacifist, I just don't give a shit about others and live my quiet life without going in situations where fighting is inevitable. It works.
