speaking of health care, why won't mccain release his medical records? is he hiding something?

on march 8th he said he'd do it in a month...then he changed to april 15th.....and now he's pushed it back to may.

Yawn...another non-issue. You gotta find another windmill to tilt at, RC. McCain will probably outlive you - had a look at his 90 + yr. old mother lately? Good genes there...

the fact that a 72 year old cancer patient won't release his medical records as promised is a non issue?

True to his latte liberal principles, RC will take dirt wherever he can get it. Rather surprised the Huffington Post isn't quoted more often here...

Gotta assess the merit of each source by yourself, I am afraid, Jet.

    Well, we're outnumbered 'round here.

Don't know why Georgie doesn't post on TD. Something to do with his book stores I guess...

    Nice humor on Condi Rice.

By staying on the GWB administration and making her numerous statement, I think the American public will associated her enough with GWB & Iraq to hurt the ticket.

    Lot of independents out there.

She has no record. She's a former provost who is now a diplomat.

Yes humor only. If McCain has any chance he must convince voters he is not at all interested in perpetuating GWB administration policies. Given his stance on Iraq, a very tough thing for him to accomplish I would think.

How about his supposed strength, foreign policy? This past week, he seemed to lack even a basic understanding of the main factions fighting in Iraq: “We continue to be concerned about Iranians taking Al Qaeda into Iran, training them and sending them back .... Well, it’s common knowledge and has been reported in the media that Al Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran. That’s well known.”

The above quote is no slip of the tongue. It shows an utter lack of understanding about the political dynamics of that region. It's no wonder that McCain is committed to fighting Middle Eastern wars for 100 years.

I think McCain's a decent man, but he might be as ill-informed and mentally incompetent as the current US president. I've voted for conservatives in the past, but I really find McCain's lack of competence a little scary. Any McCain supporters out there who can defend this man's ability to lead the US through treacherous economic and political times?

I'm again going to vote Libertarian this November. My understanding is that Bob Barr is running and may well get the LP nomination. If we are going to have the State intercourse further with me, then why bother voting for even an S&G* Republican?

    Agree, Norton.

    Iraq fatique.

Don't be too quick to rule McCain out...heh

"So much for the liberal media.

John McCain and Barack Obama both appeared before the nation's newspaper editors yesterday. The putative Republican presidential nominee was given a box of doughnuts and a standing ovation. The likely Democratic nominee was likened to a terrorist.

At a luncheon for the editors hosted by the Associated Press, AP Chairman Dean Singleton quizzed Obama about whether he would send more troops to Afghanistan, where "Obama bin Laden is still at large?"

    That's rich!

Why? OBL could very well be in Afghanistan; the US obviously hasn't a clue where he is. He certainly isn't in Iraq! (D'oh!)

Yeah, McCain, what a dumbass; can't tell the difference between Shiite and Sunni, Al Queda and Iran.

Expect WW3 should he ever get into office.

And Condi Rice? Please! Routinely ignored by Rumsfeld, Cheney, Tennet, Bush... An apologist to torture who did whatever she was told and said whatever she was told to say. No backbone, no integrity. I hope she runs with McCain; her record is a joke.
