See your point but surely most states do not allow convicted felons gun ownership now do they? Not so sure about mentally ill. Unless someone has been "pronounced" mentally ill how in the world would gun sellers determine their mental state of mind.
I need to look into this more but surely Levy's group cannot be suggesting it would be a bad thing to have laws that prevent mentally disturbed and convicted felons restricted from gun ownership. Even the most radical NRA members wouldn't advocate this.
