Well why do you think he is going to be any different than most anyone else, by his Voting record,, bullshit, almost same as everyone Else's, and he has done a lot of fence setting.
No he is just like every other politician, Talk Talk, but he is just going to be the prez, maybe, and if he is, he will only be able to make suggestions and it is up to congress and the senate to make the laws and pass the bills.

    here is his senate record..

Well, Obama seems to have had (or maybe still does) some radical pals.
Does he still share these values?

It will interesting to see how Obama handles being the "Messiah" of the democratic party.

As high as he's getting I reckon for the first time hypoxia might be a major factor for USA politics.

If that the case and you agree with Bill Ayers & Bernadine Dhorn's politics it makes you an anarchist...

^Booners, I think you grossly underestimate how much the rest of the world and even America hates GWB.

You should consider giving it a rest. Republicans can use the next 8 years to regroup. Nothing's going to change that much.

What'll change big-time is your taxes.

Well, I'm not happy and damn pissed off about that, and yes, I agree with you. But I think the republicans need to be spanked into reality now, and as you now, my last registered status was as a republican.

I used to vote GOP, mostly, but not always. But in 1996, I started voting Libertarian after Bob Dole ran on the ticket.

Cut taxes, increase deficits, and then he would look for places to cut, later.

He didn't dare talk about cutting Social Security and Medicare.

As for taxes, I think taxes will be going up, no matter who wins, be it, McCain, Hillary, or Obama.

How much they will go up, will vary depending on the candidate, IMO.

Folks, taxes will be going up soon, as the first Baby Boomer started collectin S.S. on January 1, 2008.

Medicare is 5 times worse than S.S.

The money will have to be collected somewhere and somehow, be it payroll, SS, or some VAT like system.

His voting record is what you can go by. Even though voting records often involve compromise.

    McCain's accomplishments?

Being a Senator, just like Obama, albeit it, longer.

Well McCain is a bona fide war hero because his dumb ass got shot down and captured then spent a bunch of years learning to speak gook the hard way.

    And, a war 'hero'.

I don't consider McCain a war hero, nor hero at all.

He was bombing North 'Nam and got shot down. He was doing a job. He got caught.

The Psychiatric reports are public and the the Shrink considered McCain to want to impress, emulate, and do things like his dad and grandpa, who were both Admirals in the Navy.

And Booners is right on one thing: there are people dumb enough to vote for someone because they falsely believe they are a "war hero."

Kerry was just as much of a fraud as GWB during Vietnam.

GWB dodged the draft; Kerry awarded himself 2 purple hearts on the same day.

    He was "walking wounded."

Kerry didn't deserve to be "swiftboated," and the fact that 'Nam is even discussed is ridiculous, as the Americans left over 30+ years ago.

    Stupid, really.

Scuttled out of VN as soon as he could whereas McCain was sorta 'tied up' as it were?

Good. Back to reality. Obama fought in no war, and that is not to his detriment.
