    No oven.
    You want to cook stews.
    Invest in a slow cooker.
    Inexpensive and available anywhere in Bangkok.
    All Tesco's for instance.

    I find that on the regular gas cooker thinngies here it is impossible to adjust the power so that the stew etc cooks slowly.
    Just right for all this Thai wok cooking but not for simmering slowly.

    Buy a slow cooker.
    Chop up meat veggies and stock add to slow cooker and let it cook all day.
    Results are far better than on the stove top.


    Also you can go out and about and leave it on low or allow it to cook overnight.
    The flavours blend better imo this way
