| I think you're missing my point. The story has a lot of holes and if it were me, I'd make damn sure as many people as possible knew every detail of this alleged incident. Name the doctor. Name the bosses. Name the perps. Scream from the highest mountain. Somehow, that isn't being done. Granted she's a 22-year-old (I think) and may be scared and confused.
"Jones says she was held in the shipping container for at least 24 hours without food or water by KBR, which posted armed security guards outside her door, who would not let her leave."
Guards are always posted near living quarters because that's where bad guys can get the best bang for their riyal. She was drugged? and wanted to leave the compound? Yes, I can see where they wouldn't let her. She obviously had access to medical personnel -- who have also gone silent.
Her story, as written by the OP, just doesn't add up. Let's watch it.
This is not a personal attack on you, but often people who have never been in very dangerous places have no concept of how the rules change -- a lot of rules. First-time reporters, for example, have a great deal of trouble adjusting to not being able to go and do what they want, when they want.
If she had walked out of the compound in a huff and had her head blown off ... fuckin' Halliburton. |
