Pattaya Soi Kaotalo bag snatchers now shooting victims

Second Time Unlucky for Shot Bag Snatch Victim.

An unfortunate woman victim of a bag snatch attempt in Soi Kaotalo, who was also shot in the shoulder during the attempt, has told Police this is the second time her bag has been the target of theft whilst riding her motor bike home.

The details are that Khun Arisa aged 24 was riding her Yamaha Mio bike home at 2.00am along Soi Kaotalo when two young men approached her from behind on another machine and attempted to snatch her hand bag.
She thwarted the attempt and accelerated away but the men pursued her and a shot was fired at her by one of them hitting her in the shoulder causing her bike to crash to the road way where she was slightly injured.

Passers by called emergency services and she was taken to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital where coincidentally she works as a marketing employee.
She was treated for minor injuries to her head and legs.

The best description she could give to Banglamung Police was that the bike was a black Honda Wave with no number plate and her two attackers she could only identify two young men either in their late teens or early twenties.
Police investigations continue as Soi Kaotalo has become notorious for crimes of bag snatching and a stronger Police presence will now be targeted into the area.

Maybe there is more to this stroy that reported here, I mean, is Pattaya so mental these days that attempted murder is the solution to a failed bag snatch?

I hear what they are saying but actions speak louder than words. They need to catch these assholes and put them away for a long time.

There was an armed hold up in Santisuk Village (off Soi Siam Country Club) last night as well. Two falangs were sitting outside the village store, which had closed, drinking their beer. A motosai pulled up, two young punks jumped off and held a gun to each of their heads.

Now the plot changes- one of the two guys (ex Boxer mate of mine) used a manoeuvre, and either broke one of the punks arms, or dislocated his elbow. Fortunately the other one did not react by firing his piece, rather they panicked, ran back to their bike and made off- with one rather expensive mobile phone unfortunately.

Probably a rash thing to do though- could've been much worse. The police were not even called- it all happened so quickly they could not even give a description of the motosai or the robbers, except that they were young.

My mate responded by staying out on the piss all night, and I joined him for a few beers late this morning, at the village store, to hear the tale. I often drink at that place- it was only by chance I was not there last night, having gorged myself at the Montien buffet in Pattaya.
