Just looked at these rather good photos, whilst sitting here in my Y fronts with the fan trained on my bollocks.

Blame squarely is on the British for originally adopting the farenheit scale and then sticking the united states with it. Not to mention the entire British imperial measurement system.

yeah. How many feet in a mile: 5280. How many inches in a mile: 63369. How many inches in a yard: 36. How many yards in a mile: 1760.

Let's share a pot of tea whilst we discuss how Merkins should also have adopted a monetary system where twelve pennies made a shilling, thirty pennies made a half crown, twenty shillings (or 240 pennies/8 half-crowns/4 crowns) made a pound.

And then there was the thrupenny bit (8 of them in a florin, or a pair in a tanner, with 2 tanners in a bob) which could be exchanged for 6 halfpennies or 12 farthings.

If you had 4 farthings, you could exchange them for a half-groat, whilst 61 groats would get you a guinea and two halfpenny bits.

And there were also notes as well.

But there again if you took 21 of your shillings you could exchange for a guinea

Thirty pennies made a tusheroon, a pound was always eight tush. Quality items were always priced in guineas for some strange reason.

I wish we had had mulltpuls of ten when i was at school instead of 12 would have been alot better.
