Trainees gather at the beach as they wait for the beginning of a training session for female bodyguards organised by Tianjiao Special Guard/Security Consultant Ltd. Co. in Sanya, Hainan province January 8, 2012. According to the company, a total of 20 women, mostly college graduates, participated in the training session on Sunday, which was the first open group training for female bodyguards in China. All trainees will have to undergo 8-10 months of training to develop sufficient skills to serve their clients. I was watching a program about these types of bodyguards (training in China) and it seems some of the hi-so Chinese women would prefer to have females, than males.

Yes, the Chinese will soon lead the World, if this were America, the winner would be the first one to manipulatively claim sexual harassment, and it would not take long.

The Bangkok Post ran a similar story about Yingluck a while back; female security guards can go into restrooms first and similar things and be less visibly intrusive.

Wave of the future. My company trained some female bodyguards a few years ago. Smarter and more observant than their male counterparts, better shots, listened and rarely made the same mistake twice, no macho bullshit, and some of them were incredibly strong and downright tough. Blend into a variety of environments better as well. If you want discreet, rather than a show of force, that's the way to go.

The Canadian government(s) have always been proactive in this regard, making sure they hire the ugliest grossest people for positions that are in the public eye.

Didn't work too well for Gaddaffi, granted no body guards could have saved him but we did not see any of his elite female body guards fighting to the death for him. (not that I blame them)
