My own little trick is to tilt the bottle 45 degrees, fill the bottle with gas from a lighter (Propane-Butane mix). The gas, being heaveier than air, displaces the latter, and does not react with the wine (as the oxygen in air does). Recork, and the wine in the bottle easily lasts a few days if refrigerated.

I strongly suggest you refrain from smoking while pouring from or refilling the bottle, though.....
