Wales have only ever won once at Wembley

England should have far too much for them, but been poor at home lately. A draw wouldn't surprise me.

I stopped watching England a few years ago
they played like scared rabbits
no joy or verve even against 100 ranked opponents ,
worse games are when we go 1 -0 up early on,
then they really get scared and defend for the rest of the game

Qualifying matches are generally a crushing bore, but all you need is 3 points, so from that perspective, England did just fine.

A 0-0 draw or better with Monty the Negro and they're on their way to Poland/Ukraine and the English press can start building them up as the best team since the 1970 Brazil side.

Just watched the highlights programme. Should've been about 5 mins long. Wales looked like the better team, especially in the 2nd half and definitely deserved something from the game.

Figures, Welsh football fans are idiots amongst themselves, Swansea Cardiff is always a very nasty affair. If you live in Swansea and support Cardiff, you must return to Cardiff to journey to and from Cardiff if they play in Swansea. Stupid? nope, they deserve it, they can't be trusted.

Sadly, you'll probably find the bloke who died didn't deserve it, just a lone guy picked on for that reason.

The 44-year-old was taken to hospital with head injuries after suffering cardiac arrest outside Wembley stadium before the 2012 qualifier on Tuesday.

Mr Dye died in hospital shortly before 21:00 BST.

The six arrested are thought to be Wales supporters and police do not believe any England fans were involved.

The Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command is investigating.

In a statement on its website Cardiff City FC said: "Late on Tuesday night details reached us concerning a tragedy where a Wales and Cardiff City supporter died at the match between England and Wales.

"Out of respect for the family of the supporter, the sensitivity of the situation and until full details are circumstances are ascertained, no statements will be made until deemed fit by proper channels."

It is not believed inter-club rivalry is behind the incident.

I blame Lamp man. Didn't watch the game, but from the highlights (or low lights) Wales could have easily have taken a point if not more. Must be Lampards fault couldn't have been that Wales played well and England dam near choked again

Nope still in the frigging wet lands of North West BC. It is still raining like never bloody ending. Like a cold monsoon that has lasted 4months and counting. The main river here is incredibly high and flooding is widespread.

WEMBLEY victim Mikey Dye proudly boasted about being a soccer hooligan on football forums, it was revealed last night.

He had a conviction over a pitch invasion.
And he was closely associated with Cardiff City's notorious "Soul Crew" of trouble-seeking louts.
Yet away from football matches, he was a father of three described as a "great dad" and a hard-working council pavement layer.
Mr Dye, 44, was involved in a clash between Welsh fans outside the North London stadium before Tuesday night's England v Wales Euro 2012 qualifying match.
He had a heart attack after suffering head injuries in the fracas.
One theory was that the flare-up involved fans of Cardiff and Swansea City, who have a history of hostile rivalry. Six men arrested in the Wales fans' end of the stadium were quizzed yesterday by murder case detectives before being bailed pending further inquiries.
But last night police said they believed Mr Dye was deliberately targeted by one person.
Mr Dye gave himself the nickname "Ely Trendy" after a group of Cardiff fans who formed a splinter group from the Soul Crew. He spoke openly on forums about travelling to the Championship team's away fixtures since the early 1980s and being involved in "argy bargy".
He said he was banned from going to matches for nine months and fined £425 in 1986 after a "pitch invasion and fisticuffs" at Peterborough. But he boasted: "Happy days — wouldn't change a thing."

Mr Dye told how he was in court last year charged with starting trouble at a Swansea City friendly against Swindon in July 2009.

He was arrested for obstructing a cop at Swindon railway station.
He mocked the police's handling of the case, saying in poor English: "These old bill wood not have lived with what fuzz put up with in 80s when they use to come in amonst us an losin ther helmuts an gettin punched while punchin back."
Mr Dye was a long-time friend of Cardiff fans leader Annis Abraham, 45. Mr Abraham was with him before the Wembley game, which England won 1-0, but did not witness his death. He said: "No animosity should ever result in anyone dying. It's sickening."
Mr Dye's partner Nathalie, his daughter Rebecca, 24, and 21-year-old twins James and Christopher were being comforted by relatives at their Cardiff home last night.
A pal said: "Mike was a hard-working guy and a great dad. He made sure all his children were brought up properly."
Tributes on a Facebook site set up for Mr Dye included one reading: "Can't believe Swansea/Cardiff football rivalry has ended in a man's death! WALES were playing. Fans should be on the same side."

A Bluebirds away shirt was tied to railings at the club's ground. A message scrawled on it read: "RIP Mikey Dye — Nipsy, The Clems and Beef."
Both Cardiff and Swansea sent condolences to the family. Swansea said the six men bailed were from North Wales, without saying which club they follow.
