Lara Is Not A Porn Star

When Lara placed a self-portrait taken at age fourteen on deviantART, she never expected it to be stolen by TVX Films and placed on the cover of the DVD porno "Body Magic." Lara asked the President of TVX Films to remove her photo and compensate her for the theft. He responded with the following email:

I'M SURE BY THE END OF THE MONTH YOUR FACE WILL BE HISTORY. WE HAVE STOPPED SELLING THE DVD UNTIL COVER IS REPLACED. WE HAVE FURTHER CHECKED OUT YOUR NAME AND ITS NOT LIKE IT'S A HOUSE WHOLE NAME. ACTUALLY, REMOVING YOUR IMAGE WILL HELP IMPROVE THE SELL OF THE DVD..... SO FAR IT BOMBED. THEY ARE REMAKING THE COVER AS WE SPEAK SO YOUR TEN SECONDS OF FAME WILL SOON COME TO AN END.
    AS FOR COMPSENSATION;YOUR SILLY!

After a three-year legal battle a federal court in Tampa awarded Ms Coton £82,000 ($132,000) in damages for copyright infringement, misappropriation of her image and damages to her reputation.
The court found that Ms Coton suffered personal and professional humiliation, harm to her career, and damage to her physical health, The Tamworth Herald reported.

if the president of tvx had responded to her initial request in a responsible manner, admitted his error and offered apologies and some small amount of compensation, then i doubt if it would have gone to court.

serves him right for his arrogant reply.

With regard to the person who typed the above, I read it as if a woman had responded with that smug response.

Anyway good result for the plaintiff and with regard to the defendent (man or woman), he/she deserved to get their bum spanked and it could of been a lot worse.
