Bad comparison, both were republics before voluntarily joining the United States.

Now, what if some third country had partitioned Mexico and given part of it to the Europeans? Would the Mexicans be unjustified in trying to get their land back? Or would they be considered terrorists?

I think he used the wrong term, "Israelis" refers to "Israel", which hsn't been around for very long.
One of the problems here is that "the land" is of religious importance for 3 religions, apart from the historic arguments.

I honestly can't remember now why it is so important for Islam.

A you scholar named Finklestein (who is Jewish, and now a professor) investigated the book and wrote a thesis on it. He totally debunked the book based upon its factual errors.

He was severely punished for calling out the mistakes. His career was put on hold.

Why because he criticized false scholarship.

The British scholars totally ripped apart this book, and these British scholars were not punished at all.

If you are a professor, academic, journalist, writer, or actor, and you criticize Israel, you will likely pay a high price in the U.S.

There is more academic freedom in Britain. The reporting of world events in my opinion is far, far better, than that of U.S. journalists in newspapers, and reporters on television.

It's from Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more. The book and the excerpt quoted above title From Time Immemorial by someone claiming to be Joan Peters.

The quote also comes from a book titled Understanding Power, written by a Jewish Author.

Which is why it was totally stupid for a foreign country to give the green light for another religious group to 'legally' immigrate there. This land was rightfully the Arabs' at the time massive Jewish immigration started (on the basis of some other country allowing it) and that's the whole reason for the inflammation now.

If this was 500 years ago and the Jews on their own accord lived in some other place and went on their own and conquered the territory now called Israel I doubt anyone would object to it. But the problem is that they didn't do this: some other country or entity told them to go there.

Can't help it when people discard something because of the source, but one needs to give them the opportunity to check on it, there are good reasons for it: quotes can be taken out of context or the meaning changed by omission.
I often just quote the paragraphs from a text which I deem relevant - that's fair when I point poeple to where they may read the whole thing, if not, it may look that I am 'manipulating' an argument.

For so many citizens from Western countries to be preaching anything other than tolerance of the Jews is hypocritical. They've been persecuted by the Muslims for centuries. An undeniable fact. This is a great passage. I agree. It's true and sad.

The Jewish folks have brought many positive things. Immigrants from the Middle East and Africa bring their intolerant culture, dirt-bag religion, and ruin neighboorhoods. Their neighboorhoods smell like p*ss.

Right now China is a competitor.

But I honestly think referring to them as an "enemy" may be the case in the future. Moreso economic, than geo-political.

As for these arms the Israeli sold. They were either Israeli-made arms, which were likely funded by U.S. tax dollars, or American arms that the Israeli bought from the U.S. with the 2 billion dollars of taxpayer money Israel gets every year.
