Pattaya, the 24th of November 2009 [PDN]: Police Lieutenant General Chonphat Nualak received a call that a foreign man was threatening to commit suicide at the Green Pattaya Hotel, at approximately 1:30pm. Lt Gen Nualak sent officers to investigate along with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation.

Police obtained a statement of the afternoons events from the taxi driver who was also present at the scene, Mr Panya Sealim age 49 (driver with the Bangkok Taxi Cooperative). Mr Sealim explained to police that he had given the foreign man a lift from the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya for an agreed price of 1,500 baht.
