Jimi Hendrix - Greatest hits
So disappointed lately with all this BS from the government.
Would I lie to you Abhi ?
So, if an old friend I know
Drops by to say hello
Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?
My daughters love the Beatles and I guess things never change.
I love the vocal harmony of this song and it remains one of my favourite Beatles songs.
Perota you have got me all nostalgic and another great song by John Sebastian.
And a band that influenced the Beatles vocal arrangements later on.
speaking og BEACH BOYS, did,nt GLEN CAMPBELL do some time with them before he went on to write some really good stuff
Talking about nostalgia ... As a kid growing up in Paris suburb in the early 60's, I always remember when my parents were taking us, my brothers and I, shopping in Paris for Christmas, the big department stores with the Christmas decoration, driving down the Champs Elysees with all the lighting, it was really magical !
Sorry if I sound ridiculous but there is a song that perfectly summarize for me the feelings of those times. Furthermore today if the birthday of this lovely singer.
Happy birthday Petula !
The things we regret most is the things we didn't do

I've been listening to Joy Division, Love Will Tear Us Apart.
Not a song that had much resonance with me when it came out, but I've heard it here and there over the years and recently purchased it online, and then dscovered it topped Triple J (Australia's youth orientated public radio that likes to think itself a little more avant guarde than it is) all time Top 100 in 1998 and was number 4 on the latest 2009 Top 100.
While I'm glad to see some decent 80s music doing well, I was a bit surprised for it to do so on a youth radio station.
Maybe it takes 10 or 20 years for decent music to be appreciated.
Bad Brains - I and I Survive / At The Movies. Moves from beautiful Jamaican dub reggae into the fastest, hardest hardcore punk ever made. Unbelievable band.

How's about a wee bit of Peter Gabriel...
Torrent for his tour show, "Growing Up Live"

Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute, but set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Primus: Shake Hands With Beef - was playing in a bar on weekend, how appropriate - and accompanied by a spectacular pole-dance. One I won't forget.

Egyptian MTV,…….
The woman is singing “I’ll be back” or “I will come back” (so says the girlfriend who speaks French). Anyway,….cute woman.
All I know is if I hear this crap song again when in Thailand next month, the DJ will wish he had committed suicide... It gets stuck in my head and I cant' get it out...
Here's a more accurate version

Sat outside on the back terrace, listening to a combination of frogs (klong behind house), and the complete collection of Coldplay (courtesy of one of my iPods/iTunes). Last comment to amuse 'Butterfly'.
