Today I had roast beef and veggie in the canteen. No picture though.

Not the best meal we have had in a pub along our travels:-
But if I show the best,
I'd be out of order not showing the rest.
Steak and ale pie.
Home cooked generous portions,
but in total honesty not overly impressed.
Flobo managed about half of hers.
Great location though.
The ivy on the pub was attractive.
All the women take their blouses off
And the men all dance on the polka dots
It's closing time !

This was me lunch today, not sure what they call hmmm... meatleef?

I'd forgotten about this thread recently:-
Here we go, a nice meal for myself, Flobo and two of the Grandsons in Castleton.
More expensive than the usual haunts.
But exquisite surroundings, and location.
You're not going to come across a KFC or Mc D's in a village like this.
Gorgeous place, so you can expect to be
paying a higher price for your food.
Flobo and one of the lads went for the Battered Pollack.
Fish, chips and mushy peas.
They both claimed it to be super.
I went for the Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding.
It was a good as it gets.
The other Grandson decided to have;-
Bangers and Mash.
Nicest sausages he had ever eaten he exclaimed.
They looked good as well.
The lads both finished off with Sticky Toffee pudding covered with a Butterscotch sauce.
"Thanks Grandad, that was a great meal," They both echoed.
Tuesday last 27th October 2009.
Half Term and time is passing quickly.
Going dark early as well.
My, my, my Delilah.

chicken stir fried with chilli and basil and white rice. left over from yesterdays dinner, always better next day.
After last nights piss-up (with KW and a few of his mates) I was feeling a little green today but managed a few barbeque chicken drumsticks and a hamburger at the cricket which was being played in Bangkok.
The rest of the boys (Bobcock, Ant and Willy) seemed fit as fok and were having a liquid lunch but then again their a lot younger than me.![]()
more pies.
Tommos pie shop.
splendid.

I'm going to a mate's for BBQ... YUM!!!
I need some inspiration today. Has anyone ever ordered the Roast dinner from the Black Swan by Chef XP?
^ Don't know about that gaff mate but I met ET from the Bulley's bar yesterday at the cricket and he was pushing the quality of his food, particularly his Sunday Roasts.
I've heard good things about their food, but I don't think they do delivery.
Anyway, I decided to go for it.
Gotta say, I was very impressed. The beef was a bit well done for my liking but I understand that it gotta suit the masses. Yorkies were lovely and the veg was very fresh. Also decent sized portions of horseradish sauce and gravy.
Thats pretty good for a delivered Sunday roast.![]()

wow you guys eat big meal,s I can only eat half of those portion!!
Anyway I will post my lunch of vietamese sandwich tomorrow, coz today's is already in my tummy![]()

This was a nice meal.
Flobo cooked some really nice bacon chops,
a white pudding and some of those
small juicy vine tomato's.
In a word:-
Delicious.
Now that does look good what a lucky man you are mathos. I had a poxy peanut butter sandwich.
^^looking at that has made me hungry
today i had a baguette with crabstick, prawns and mayonnaise, a bag of cheese and onion crisps and a kitkat.

Check these out lads!
And Lasses of course.
We had a nice meal at The Inn at Whitewell
whilst we were out yesterday.
Super place for dining especially.
I went for the seasonal grouse.
It was exceptional, extremely tasty, the vegetables had to go on there, a few baby potato's and some green beans.
An outstanding meal.
Jock went for the Lancashire Hot-Pot
which was in his words, absolutely outstanding,
first time he had eaten the same in over thirty years,
I reckon he was touched by it.
Nice sized serving.
Flobo went for the delicious Fish and Chips.
You only need to look at the photograph to see how good that was.
Exceptionally good meals all round.

Glad you liked it Dave.
I am lucky Pal...She's a gem.
Thanks for the Green as well.
Appreciated.
