Thailand - Software that you would pay money for
Probably the most bought software in Thailand is Microsoft Windows, and at 150baht it is quite good value I suppose, but this thread is for good software that you would actually be sort of nearly willing to pay proper money for, so I shall start it off with Snagit.
I suppose you could use windows print screen but it seems to like to keep it a secret that it has actually worked and seems a lot of hassle, ie it wont work if your "Num Lock" is on, you have to press "ALT" & "Print Screen" if you want to capture just the main window, then it looks like nothing has happened till you open either MS Word, MS Photo Editor, or Adobe PhotoShop and press "CTRL" & "V" which is basically what you should be able to do with your mouse as you normally do when pasting, also you capture the whole screen so most likely have to crop the picture, so lets have a look at Snagit.
Snagit is marketed by techsmith.com and offer a 30 day free trial or $49.95 and it's yours for life, how any piece of software is worth that much is beyond me but I would definitely think about paying $20 for it if I lived in a normal country as it is actually pretty damn good.
With snagit you can choose a part of a page, all that your monitor shows, a scrolling page and just copy the lot to your pc with a couple of clicks, also you can steal videos just by copying them with snagit, those .jpg's that don't allow right click are also easily stolen just by copying them with snagit, all in all it's a pretty damn good bit of software that I might be willing to sort of pay the full price for if it wasn't available with the crack from torrent downloads
From techsmith's website.
If you can see it, you can snag it
Don't waste time cropping your captures. Snag exactly what you need, with just a click.
Profiles make it easy. Snagit comes with eleven preset buttons that make screen capture a cinch! Capture a region of your screen, text from a window, the contents of a tall page that scrolls, all the images on a Web page, you get the idea.
Custom suits you. Don't feel limited by the eleven profiles—create your own combinations for nearly unlimited capture possibilities. What's that? You want to set up a keystroke that captures a menu along with the mouse pointer...adds a drop shadow...and sends the image directly to your Wordpress.com blog? Sure, no problem!
