    Sports channels on True TV

    Hello

Does anybody know if the Thai True sports channels show any rugby matches from The UK ? If not is South African sat TV (most the pubs have this i see ) the best option ? and how does one go about getting it here in Thailand ?

    Thanks

    The SA channels have it.

If you're in Bangkok, the best rugby bars are Wall Street (Suk Soi 33 - home to the Old Bangkok Bangers), the Office Bar (Soi 33) and Bradman's (Soi 23).

    If you're in Pattaya; unlucky.

If you're out in the sticks like I am, then I get most SA sports channels on the local cable for 300B a month.

Chiang Mai has the UN Irish bar.

Once in a blue moon I have seen some Rugby on True sports, they used to show a few matches from the Guiness Premiership and also a few internationals when it comes to the 6 nations.
Even when the magazine listings say the rugby will be on it isn't always as stated, so if there is a match you really want to see I would suggest you head to the bar to be on the safe side.

The Office Bar??...who goes to watch rugby there, you've missed the best rugby bar of all.... Tenderloins..... but then you have been away for a while.

ps...Bangers win Angkor 10's veterans on the weekend...... burp.

Well, the Soi 33 Bistro is trying to snatch them away, but it is still their official home.

Official doesn't pay RTP's bills, which is what i believe is the true cause of the rift.

Without the Bangers he's fecked. They're worth a lot of money, hence the Office has been courting them for years. Can't understand why they didn't leave there ages ago. Loyal bunch...

Thanks for the info all , i have no problem finding places like you mention in the citys, all good places to watch the games, but i am in the sticks so no bars that show the rugby which is a shame, football no problem but i do prefer the rugby..

What cable network do you use for the SA channels Marmite ? I have found a local sat man in the town who reckons he can get any channels that i want ,but he might be talking shite.. Could you tell me what channels you get that show the rugger ?and i can quiz him further..

    cheers..

So not to far from Ubon where I am.

I am in Ubon and get the same feed that marmite mentioned for 300 baht a month with all the Super Sport SA channels. Mind you I have now had it for 4 months and they still havent been around to collect any money.

Of course I doubt you will get this where you are but another option although not as good is top up tv which for 3600 baht a year will get you the australia network which shows all the wallaby games.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

I and MeMock both have Home Cable. He's in Ubon and I'm in Udon. You might be able to get it if you're in Muang Si Saket, but unlikely in the villages.

We get about 4 Supersport channels from South Africa. Satellite systems can pick up the feed direct from SA but you'll need your own account usually. I'd have a word with the guy and get him to show you the Supersport channels on a test system. If he's got them, you're laughing. There's 7 Supersport channels I think.

I guess such things are difficult to obtain in Bangkok? I'd really like to get a better satellite choice than I have. Flucking True. POS.
