anyone know where, how, how long and what to do to get one ?
from Land Transport Office
15 minutes

How long is it valid for as I need to get one for 6 weeks time and am just wondering if I should do it now or later.

hmmmm...missus was told on phone 1 month.
Can you get it in Pak Chong or Korat ?
Does it make a difference if the rego is Bangkok ?
yes
go to the office where the car is registered

I thought it was around 6 months or something - don't you need to own your car outright as well?
expires same date as the car registrationOriginally Posted by MeMock

Damn....car is registered in Bkk.....not going there tomorrow.
It is a 4wd.....wonder if there are many crossings along the river not to deep.
You might be able to get one in Nong Khai
I have been told that they can do it.

Excellent...shall try.
Now just have to hide that kid good and well

Well I can confirm that Mr Nawty has well and truly been on the road and as of tonight made Ubon and dropped in for a few pizzas.
As much as I hate to say it he is a lovely bloke and I am looking forward to meeting him and his family and the pool tomorrow with my kids for a bit of a splash.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.
Have you never met the pool before then?Originally Posted by MeMock

The pool has been rather elusive lately..

Shucks......I have never been called a lovely bloke before.
I can confimr that Memock is also....a lovely bloke.
As for the car passport....got it at the border, after the office had closed. Think we paid a premium for it, but what the hell as the convenience was good and we travelled across.
I like poisoning my neighbours dogs till they die cos I'm a cnut

Ok, nail this thread down. First it's a visit to immigration to get cert of residence AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Then off to vehicle license office, not sure whether it can be any office though. Take uckin everything, Mine took 1 hour cost 59 baht and it lasts 11 months.

As for child, can be smuggled by boat 50 baht, under the watchfull eyes of the Thai police.
That is the correct price but I heard of one cnut who paid 400 USDOriginally Posted by the dogcatcher
I hope Nawty didn't pay more than 500 baht

Also, no finance on the motor.
