Just buy a bag of steamed rice from a vendor!
^Thats what I did.

Thanks for raisin this question. I tend to put 'em in cornflakes, porridge and pancakes and was tempted to put them in my 1st experimental pudding but the gf said that if she was made to consume any more raisins she might kill me in my sleep so I let it go and used bananas instead.
Mines cooking now.![]()
Just finished making it and it's pretty good for a first attempt. Thanks for the recipe EN and no doubt thanks in advance for turning me into a fat b*****d![]()

O.k here's mine. Pretty much the same as Noodles just made completely in a rice cooker.
I ended up just going to the restaurant on the corner and buying a bag of cooked rice for 10bt. This is only just over half the bag.
Then I covered it with milk, gave it a stir and added a cinnamon stick. I thought it was too much milk but needed more in the end.
Then I closed the lid and pressed 'cook' and left it for 10 min.
Whilst I was waiting i had a glass of milk with some of the 'posh' dried strawberries.
This was a mistake because when I came back after about 5 min to check it, the milk was all boiling over and it made a bit of a mess.
What I would do next time is cook with the lid closed for 2-3min just to get the milk boiling and then open the lid and let it simmer.
I fixed the problem by adding more milk to bring the temperature down and then the rest of the rice to compensate the extra milk.
Then I added 2 1/2 spoons of sugar.
And a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
And let it simmer for another 5 min.
Then I decided to cut up the dried strawberrys and add them on top when served instead of mixing them in because they'd probably turn everything red.
Then I added the egg and stirred it for a few more mins
The egg really did bind everything together. I wouldn't have thought to add the egg without being told.
And there it is. It was bloody delicious. Cheers Noodles, green on the way!
+ My kitchen smells bloody lovely. It reminds me of a French skiing trip.![]()
Good stuff, pleased you liked it.![]()
I got a little sleepy after I ate it so had to have a lie down on the sofa and watch the Simpsons.Originally Posted by English Noodles
Are you gonna give it another shot? I'd recommend going for 2 or 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar.
Mines perfect for me but I know that it will be too sweet for my wife when she gets home.
Ok, I couldn't understand how you went wrong before.Originally Posted by Bangyai

Does it work the same with sticky rice? That's all we seem to eat down Khaotalo!
Always slaved away burning my glass Pyrex dishes in the oven.
I'll try this method. Thanks.
