So. I get this call. Seems I can pick the bike up this coming week if I want. DO I WANT??? Thing is, I'd have to make the trip alone. Bike is an unknown, I rode it maybe 4 Km and bought it. I enjoy riding alone, I'm prepared to deal with a broken bike. Hell I bought it as a project base if ti broke I'd have a real good excuse to "fix" it. I've got a set ot tools to ake with me. We made plans to go pick it up in a couple weeks in a group enjoy that Udon hospitality for a couple days and enjoy the Ride back with 5 or 6 of us.

You think of the weirdest things. I went over the bike, checking problem areas for oil seepage & leaks, cracked cases, brakes work. The bike was really just what I wanted a good base, etc. I was pretty jazzed. Didn't dawn on me until last night that the engine skid pan was missing. I know lots of guys that ran like that with no problem, always thought ti a needless risk. SO. I get to thinking, "what else??" Still, could have it here in my hands sooner than later. I can fit a pan into my bag takes about ten minutes to install...

Have done those mods to my bike as well. Also fitted race camshafts, modded throttle bodies. Best mod for the money, is defo change of gearing via sprockets.

I am thinking about buying a Ultra classic HD for touring around on as the wife likes a bit of comfort and likes to pack every thing plus the kitchen sink. I owned a old 81 shovel FLH strip dresser about 12 years ago but this thing is a far cry from that. Plus I still have my other bikes for when I go solo or feel like having fun
OK shit bags tell me your thoughts

I guess I'll have to plan routes with no corners in the future?

Anyway, what's wrong with the Shadow; just as slow but made by Honda so doesn't leave a trail of parts behind you like a Hardley does. Plus, of course, they're not completely overpriced like Hardleys are.

Oh. And it's a fucking ugly bike.
