For some crazy reason, I am seriously considering buying a motorcycle here, something the sensible part of my brain has been telling me not to do since the first day I came to the Land of Smiles.
Putting aside reasoning and rational thoughts I have narrowed my crazy desire to two alternatives, either a touring bike or the laid back cruiser.
Due to my size, a Thai style step through motorcycle would be silly: I would look like an upside down iceberg gently making its way through the traffic.
The last bike I owned in the UK was in 1989, a Yamaha Geneses but at 52, I need something a bit less sporty and have looked at the Honda CB, Steed and Shadow.
Of the choppers the Steed appears a lighter machine and the 600cc would be a pleasant alternative to the more expensive Shadow with the 750cc. The CB also has its appeal and I am 50/50 split on the style to go for.
My budget is limited to no more than around the 120,000 ThB and any constructive advise would be appreciated

t looks like a boulevard cruiser that would be a pain in the ass to ride and insufferable on long-ish trips.
