| Note that the survey was of Yellow Shirt supporters, not of the general population. They are almost certain to form a party to try to unite the forces of the extreme right, the Bangkok elite, ultra nationalists, military elite and the very rich. They have no chance at all of winning an election, of course, and they must know that. Their aim must be to win some seats (one or two in Bangkok perhaps) enough to form part of an anti popular alliance and to achieve enough bargaining power to help preserve the status quo of the present ruling class, to prevent any reform of the constitution, diminution of the powers of the military or improvement of the lives of the rural poor. The tragedy of Thailand is that there are no good guys, except Abhisit perhaps and he can do absolutely anything, except keep a promise or win an election.
