| I don't know how much these trucks weigh. But out by the BIRA race track, there are trucks loading up with dirt and going down Siam Country Club road. I drive down this road 3 times a week when I go to Aikido.
There is a section after the SCC lake and where the road comes out near Lake Map Pra Chan. It's getting REALLY bad.
They tossed in some dirt a few weeks back. But last night, it reminded me of the old Phnom Penh-Siam Reap road. You've gotta come to a crawl to negotiate the pot holes, even with my VIGO. (OK, I could drive it like I want to, but the wife complains, and you know how it is when she's got the pussy....)
The asphalt is giving way, big time, in some places. I think it's the daytime heat and the weight of the trucks. Last night there was a hole about 2' deep and full of water, so not easy to see if you're speeding. It's changing daily...
Many other parts of Siam Country Club road are in pretty shit condition. But this one is the worst that I've seen. |
