    Ditto - never had a problem fitting those glass drills bits to my power drill - have drilled numerous tiles with it and have never ever had a cracked one.
    Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...

    keeping the spot you're drilling and your bit from getting hot will also help. Take a sponge and have someone let water run down the wall and onto the bit. There are bits that look like an arrow head designed for drilling tile. I'd also not use the hammer drill setting since the vibration and heat seems like it would make the tile crack easier.
