Easy on a Mac, Scamp. Use Safari and go to the Youtube Vid you want to download.
Open the activity window (one of the dropdown options on Safari).
You'll see a list of all the files for that webpage, double click on the biggest file (the video) and it should download. Will be in flv format, you can use VisualHub to convert to something else.
