    Crisps

I love crisps or to those who hail from anywhere other than Britain, potato chips. Lets discuss them, in detail...

Firstly crisps in Thailand are, lets face it, substandard to put it mildly, but I have recently discovered a new flavour on the market. They come in black and green bags and taste EXACTLY like Colmans mustard, if u don't know what Colmans mustard is, then watch this:

Bloody lovely strong stuff but the Thai's have neglected to give the crisps an accompanying flavour, such as beef or T-Bone steak or somet.

Anyway, they're my weapon of choice at the moment, great with an ice cold beer. Give them a try, I insist...

So chaps and chapesses, your favourite Thai crisps?

As far as the best crisp in blighty goes, this has gotta be my winner:

    Absolutely bloody lovely!

My wife makes crisps from banana.
Yeah, I know, sounds like crap but don't knock it till you have tried it.
They don't have a banana flavour just taste like plain salted crisps.
Once I start on them I can't stop.

Just realised. Is the OP's picture a Frazzles alternative. Either way, gave me tasty bacon burps for hours.

Like many of the thai crisps. One in particular though stands out as truly disgusting - Nori seaweed.

Alternative? Bloody alternative? My good man, these beauties gave Frazzles the idea! Slightly more of a tangy bacony taste than frazzles and a mite bit crunchier, made by the same people who made these:

A very tasty but 'unsociable' crisp. You'll know what I'm talking about if you've tried them.

Scampi fries are why the microwave was invented. 20 seconds on full power.
    Result - hot and crispy.

I remember at school as a kid we used to have Smiths 'Salt n shake', they came with a small bag of salt. 'Monster Munch' pickled onion flavour used to be my other favourite.

Had those once in a Flamborough pub years ago. Didn't care for them that much.

Probably because they are corn not potato. They dissolve and stick to the roof of your mouth, horrible things. I like Nachos though.

Oxymoron of the first order. Thai crisps are really not up to scratch. Neither are Lays.

Walkers are great, kettle crisps too.

Cape Cod Kettle chips.(not available in UK or Thailand) The worst packet of crisps I ever had was on a trip to Kalasin. We stopped for petrol and the store had some Lays made specially for the Thai market. They were seaweed flavor and bloody awful.

The first thing I do when I get off the plane in Australia is buy a meat pie and Smiths Chips.

Oh that's after I kiss the terminal floor just like my good mate!

Just plain salted chips and I love to eat them along with a chocolate Kit Kat.

Something about salted chips and chocolate that goes together.

Smith's Chicken Chips are also nice to eat but fvck all that barbeque, Mexican and chilli flavoured crap. You lose the taste of the potato and when you cover it with chemicals and colourants.

A guy who owned a Crisp Manufacturers in Lancashire is a prime example
He shagged his secretary, wife found out .divorced, maaried secretary
He then shagged his new secretary, wife found out , divorced, married secretary
He then started shagging his new secretary,

    Thats all I know

You say Lay's crisps are wank, but Lay's own Walkers, so just a differant flavour for the Thai's/usa compared to us Brits.

from Wiki - "Walkers is now owned by Frito-Lay, which in turn is a subsidiary of Pepsico, with the current logo a derivative of the North American Lay's logo

    Lay'sŪ Potato Chips

as for walkers crisps, it can't be better than prawn cocktail or cheese & onion.

Kettle Chips and Pringles are the two best brands of crisps around, only seen the latter for sale in Thailand though.

Lays chilli and lime flavour are pretty nice, most other crisps available here are rank though, especially the Thai made ones.

They were the Scottish brand of crisps and Pot Noodles etc. Went out of business a while back but were taken over and the Golden Wonder brand revived.

Wasn't there at one time in the UK, hedgehog flavoured crisps? Not made with real hedgehogs, though. A novelty crisp, i think.

How you can lump Kettle Chips and Pringles together, I'll never know. Kettle chips, crunchy and delicious, Pringles; are just dried and salted precipitated goo. Each his own I guess, but Kettle chips are available here. I have never really enjoyed flavored chips/crisps, The jalapeno flavored Kettle Chips are the exception. THAT flavor has not been available here.
