| Please help: Budget Hotel / Room Lat Phrao or Chatuchak area?

I have been a quiet reader on this Forum for a while. Fantastic threads, pics and info! Thank you very much.
I will be coming to Bangkok on 5th or 6th of May and am looking for a Budget Hotel / apartment / room / studio around Lat Phrao MRT (or Ratachada or Suthisan) or close to Chatuchak Park (close to Mochit, Saphan Kwai, Ari BTS).
My budget is about max 600-700 THB per day, clean and quiet, (TV, fridge, AC) and if I could have internet (i.e. Wifi) and a pool for that, that would be perfect.
I am happy with a local hotel. Don't have to be able to book online.
Will be staying for a week. Later possibly also looking into a monthly rental.
Does anybody have experience with those hotels?
