He probably thought that he was doing the 149 ppl a favour by offing them. That's how these depressed smart ppl think. They think that they have the world figured out and it's depressing. And they will have rational arguments for that.

If he was suffering form deppresion or what ever, would he not have been to a doctor of some sorts. That being the case, should'nt it mandatory that the doctor is obliged to report this to the orthorities ?

Especially in Germany, as mentioned earlier, with about the tightest privacy laws in Europe, not considering the blanket clampdown on the Windsor household's affairs.

Germanwings crash: 'Andreas Lubitz planned to marry pregnant girlfriend', claims German report

The partner of the Germanwings co-pilot who crashed Flight 9525 into the French Alps was pregnant and the couple were apparently planning to get married, according to reports.

Andreas Lubitz, 27, was living with the unnamed 26-year-old woman in his Düsseldorf apartment up until the crash last Tuesday, Germany’s Bild newspaper and Der Spiegel magazine reported.

She worked as a teacher at an unnamed comprehensive school in the state of North Rhine Westfalia and Bild said she had told her pupils that she was pregnant. Lubitz had also recently ordered two new cars for them.

The woman – given the pseudonym, Sabine L, by Bild to protect her identity – visited the crash site last week, discovering on the way there that Lubitz had deliberately crashed the plane, killing himself and 149 others.

Sabine was said to have met Lubitz when the two were school students doing holiday jobs at a hamburger restaurant. “Eventually they no longer kept their relationship a secret,” the former manager was quoted as saying.

It is thought that Lubitz deliberately crashed the plane because he was deeply depressed and was being treated for vision problems that could have ended his flying career. Some sources suggested he was suffering from a detached retina.

The reports came as a transcript of the last voice recordings was revealed yesterday, which reveals that Lubitz urged the pilot to go to the toilet, leaving him alone in the cockpit. Passengers can be heard screaming uncontrollably for minutes before the crash, according to details published by Bild am Sonntag.

Over the course of the transcript, Lubitz can be heard telling Captain Patrick Sondheimer that he is ready to take over “any time”.

As Capt Sondheimer orders Lubitz to prepare the plane for landing in Düsseldorf, Lubitz appears to give clues about what he is about to do, responding with “hopefully” and “let’s wait and see”. He then tells Capt Sondheimer: “You can go now”.

Two minutes later, the Captain says, “you can take over now” and the sound of a cockpit seat sliding backwards is followed by the clicking of the cockpit door.

Shortly after, Lubitz puts the aircraft into descent mode. Air traffic controllers can then be heard trying to contact the plane and the automatic “sink rate” alarm starts sounding.

Seconds later, there is thudding on the cockpit door. Capt Sondheimer can be heard shouting, “For God’s sake open the door!” Behind him, passengers can be heard screaming. Among the last sounds appear to be attempts by Capt Sondheimer to break down the door with the aircraft’s emergency axe, as he shouts: “Open the goddam door.” But to no avail. Shortly after, the plane’s wing is heard scraping the side of a mountain. French officials have refused to confirm or deny the transcript.

Secondary school teacher Kathrin Goldbach, who is in her 20s, left Germany in the aftermath of the crash which killed 150 people thinking her fiance was one of the victims.

According to the German newspaper Bild, she arrived in France to find he had been the perpetrator of mass murder.

It is believed that she told the pupils at the Gesamtschule in Krefeld, near Dusseldorf, where she works some time ago that she was 'going to be a mum'.

She was said to be happy to share the news and looking forward to her new life as a parent – and even planned to marry Lubitz.

Although planning their lives, it is thought the couple had an on/off relationship over the past seven years and that Lubitz had been seeing another woman fairly recently.

Now she has to come to terms with the enormity of what he has done – and the stigma of carrying his child.

The lovestruck pair met as teenagers before he became a pilot while working together at a Burger King in his home town of Montabaur, according to reports in Germany.

They moved together to Dusseldorf and shared a flat after he qualified as a pilot around four years ago.

But his constant demands and desire to be 'in control' meant she was looking to move out, ending their relationship.

It is thought that may have 'tipped him over the edge' - and led to his plan for mass murder.

In a frantic bid to keep his girlfriend, Lubitz is reported to have splashed out thousands of pounds on buying two flash Audi cars - one of whjich arrived at his home just five days before the crash.

According to Bild, Lubitz controlling behaviour even extended to fast food and demands for toppings he would have.

Lubitz showed increasingly erratic and controlling behaviour just weeks before the Germanwings crash that killed 144 passengers, four crew, Lubitz and the captain Patrick Sondenheimer.

Reports emerged that police searching the co-pilot's flat had found a 'small mountain of pills' and he had apparently been refusing to take his antidepressants medication.

Miss Goldbach was said to be looking to move out when the tragedy happened as Lubitz even tried to tell her what to wear.

He also betrayed Kathrin with a five-month fling with a Germanwings stewardess conducted in cheap hotels.

News of the pregnancy comes after a chilling transcript of the black box recording was revealed.

In the recording, the pilot can be heard screaming at Lubitz "Open the goddam door."

Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin gave a disturbing account of the cockpit voice recordings extracted from black box, with further details of their content emerging today.

He said Lubitz locked his captain out after the senior officer left the flight deck.

He added: “The intention was to destroy the plane. Death was instant. The plane hit the mountain at 700kmh (430mph).

“I don't think that the passengers realised what was happening until the last moments because on the recording you only hear the screams in the final seconds.”

Referring to Lubitz, Mr Robin said: “He did this for a reason which we don't know why, but we can only deduct that he destroyed this plane. We have asked for information from the German investigation on both his profession and personal background.”

Mr Robin said he had no known links with terrorism, adding: “There is no reason to suspect a terrorist attack.”

Couple things must be done to reduce the risk of this happening again.

Require a second person in the cockpit at all times.

In spite of German rights to privacy, some sort of process needs to be put in place for pilots (and others) who's physical and psychological fitness to ensure safety of passengers. Pilots are currently subjected to regular physical examinations. Should add psychological examinations as well.

Being such a high stress job a periodic chat with a psychiatrist and if necessary a psychologist would not be out of place.

How about stop dishing out SSRI drugs (the only ones they are allowed to take after MASSIVE lobbying from big pharma world wide) that the pilot was undoubtedly taking in that as he committed mass murder and suicide his breathing and heart rate didn't blink at all and stayed normal. These nasty drugs have are the cause of these problems, and yet the daft fools of the world would rather find a millions excuses to protect big pharma and help get us all on these mass murder suicide side effect (in the stated side effects) pills.
