Is there a pair of binoculars in there?
Knutsford is said to be recession proof on account of the amount of millionaires residing there.
Quaint market town..
Ball busting cobbles..
Hansel and Gretel style lodge..
Not many people venturing out considering the nice weather..
Tatton Park was wonderful with unphased deer..
A 400 year old Oak tree..
A precariously balanced ride adjacent to the lake...
A novel idea for a use of these old red telephone boxes, only ever seen these housing defribilators before.
I'd been turtling for an hour and was in need of some relief behind the hedge,it shot out like a wet sausage.
What made it all the more satisfying was the improvised toilet paper.
Half a dozen pages ripped out of this rag and put to good use
This heavily seasoned steak finished of a perfect afternoon..

Be careful of ticks around deer, Limes disease, nasty stuff
^^ Go back tomorrow and pick her up mate... she'll still be fresher rhan some of your supermarket bargains!
^ Too right... I had a boss in Norway who caught Limes disease... probably from a deer tick when waliking his dog. It took an age to diagnose and then he was off work for six months... completely wiped out. It was at least two years until he was back to normal and working full time.
An exhilarating few hours in the saddle sweltering in mid twenties Celsius heat.
Started at the home to Gerry Marsdens famous song" Ferry across the Mersey " and headed along the breazy Wirral coast...
If you zoom in on the plaques, the gardens to this fine building have been dedicated to the 96 Hillsborough victims...
Name that car?
The Liverbird buildings behind the giant floating hotel to nowhere, all the rage for the staycationers over a certain age..
The Mersey docks...
Some pretty coastal houses in these parts..
New Brighton town beyond the lido..
The Fort..
The coastal cycling route wasn't to crowded for a mid week cycle and stretched for about 25 miles..
A bit hairy at times...
Time for some rehydration..
No cyclists allowed in the dunes the indignation..
Every trip to the seaside requires the customary fish and chips on the beach albeit slightly ravaged..
A refreshing change![]()
Very nice.

Fort Perch Rock - Wikipedia
Learn something new eddie day
Many moons ago one could venture inside the fort and view the military memorabilia sadly now closed.
The amusing part of the day was when I sat down with my beer to enjoy a perfect view.
The biggest and most feral Scouse family invaded my space , with their rugrats attempting to steal my pump and water bottle of my bike.
Unfortunately I had to relocate to the far end of the beer garden for a lesser view and picture opportunity.
Then the sweet old dears on an adjoining table in their Seventies started f'ing and blinding.
Should really put that in the daily moan thread
Oh well, that's Merseyside for you...
A couple of decent two hour rides this week so far, getting in training for the Tour De Manc...
Hayfever time..
Hit the spot nicely..

I do not want to spoil your biking, but:
"A cyclist is a disaster for the country's economy:
He does not buy cars and does not borrow money to buy;
insurance does not apply;
does not buy fuel, does not spend on car maintenance and repairs;
does not use paid parking;
does not cause serious accidents;
does not require multiple lanes of highways;
does not become obese.
Healthy people are not necessary or useful for the economy:
do not buy drugs;
with few exceptions, he does not go to hospitals or doctors;
they add almost nothing to the country's GDP.
In contrast, each new McDonald's store will create at least 30 jobs:
10 cardiologists;
10 dentists;
10 nutrition and nutrition experts
and obviously also people who work in the store itself. "
Therefore, choose carefully:
Cyclist or McDonald's? This is worth thinking about…
PS: Walking is even worse. Pedestrians don't even buy a bike...
Following Tour de France this year, Chitty ?
Hi Helge, I been watching some of the highlights but not much.
Did see that horrendous crash. Much prefer cycling to watching it, gets a bit boring after 5 minutes plus I've mostly been watching the football.
Had a couple of decent hot rides this week, so I celebrated with a new t-shirt...
Once the playground of the rich and famous 30 years ago, sadly looks like a scene from a horror movie now.
Roy Keane and Company used to shag local slappers here every Saturday night..
The wild Geese appear to have taken over the place around here..
Rehydration time I thought the barmaid was being sarcastic when she said "Do you want a straw in that?".
I replied" yes, it does appear to be like a milkshake with that head". She went bright red and said "its coz it's got a lemonade top init."
"That explains the good head "
A roast to finish the day..

Great pics, Chit. Love the pics of the deer. Geese have taken over the paths here as well.. nuisance beyond belief. They also shit everywhere! Get off the road!!! I swear they need signs saying watch for geese.
A three hour marathon scorched in the saddle the other day.
30oC heat and the salt from my sweat stinging my eyes.
A fine way to start the day..
Farmer Palmer making hay whilst the sun is shining..
A couple of pics from the highest accessible places for the public..
One plane taking off every hour as opposed to every minute pre covid...
Anyone recognise these couple of classic planes..
Yep, there's actually a real Concord in the corporate conference hangar.Could see it through the glass but couldn't get a clear pic...
A pit stop in the shade before the final blast homewards...
These tunnels go under the runways and are refreshingly cool..
A fine way to finish the day..
Cheers..
Four hours up and down the hills was pushing it a bit.
Should stick to 1 or 2 hour rides, knees started to click and was struggling to get home for the last hour.
Still some decent pics....
Fuel..
What a shame..
Black Lambs Matter..
All the best.
On my bucket list, awesome!
Some nice countryside shots there mate.Thanks for sharing. (OK how much was the bike?)
A lots happened at Chez Chitty since my last ride out, so it was good to clear the fog and blow away the cobwebs today.
Combining Remberance day with Christmas is a novel idea, all the poppys on the tree were hand knitted and dedicated to a fallen hero...
Puts things into perspective!
The first ten minutes today was freezing, until the blood and endorphins got pumping.
Nice to be out and about with minimal traffic on the roads..
My favourite tree in Autumn ..
Was like the Tour De France out there today..
The sun shined for all of 30 seconds today..
Dark at 4pm..
Toes and fingers have thawed out now.

^ Nice.
It was really mild down in Somerset today... I spent all morning gardening. Me mum's garden is completely overgrown.
