It used to be a travel thread would get you out of the clink .because I'm fond of a lot of posters I had the brilliant idea to create a new nic.

Water tower.

Pretty much every house here needs a bore hole and water tower for water as the city water is completely unreliable. However, bore pumps need electricity to pump water up (I think ours is 28 metres deep) and thus we had to add solar panels on the staff housing next to the bore hole. But solar only works during the day.

A bit of a palaver, but in the past year we’ve only run out of water in the evenings twice. Life in Africa.

There’s also a regular business for the guys who weld together towers on the road for buyers. Suppose I should get some photos of those, but it might excited Tax too much.

Former Zambian President Edgar Lungu has died in South Africa, where he was reportedly receiving medical treatment, this is according to information reaching Diamond Media Zambia.
According to sources, the former President was this morning attended to at a named hospital for a routine review but later developed chest complications.

Had a little shindig/soirée at my place yesterday. It sure if soirée is the correct word to use but it’s all semantics anyway. I’m sure a teflr will be along soon to correct my enngerish. Started with some truck turning up at 08:00ish to offload a half dozen round tables and other stuff.
