If its not top notch stuff, push it thru then filter into the glass. It should be fine.

i recently saw a short video of some drunk frenchman who put the bottle in his shoe and then slammed the shoe against a wall several times....i barely escaped high school physics, but this somehow forces the cork to pop out.

    should be on youtube.

If you get yourself down soi 6 I am sure one of the lovely ladies would be able to suck the cork out for 50 baht tip.

Henceforth, buy box wine or screw-tops. Knocks down the stress factor. Silver Slipper, Boone's Farm, or Mad Dog 20-/20 are good quality starters.

I wonder how many times the bottle has broken on people when they try that.

I usually use my cordless drill with a 10mm drill bit, then run the wine thru a paper filter to remove any excess cork........ I dont drink wine often !!!

Push it in, it may gush a bit and then get your tea strainer out.

Bit silly, but most bottles of wine have screw tops even expensive ones.

    Something to do with corking..

I can't remember the last time i bought a bottle with a cork. And I live in wine country.

You should drink more quality wine like "Petite Arvine" or "Amigne", only available with a cork. Oops, forgot Malvoisie and Malvoisie flétrie.

Mad dog 20/20 - not for pussies

In my old student days, two large bottles were downed on the 20 minute bus ride into the Toon and a third smuggled into to the club stuffed down the back of your jeans. Off your tits for about 3 pounds. Life doesn't get better than that.
