As if proof were needed that the weather is not what it used to be,
it was warm enough to lay on the beach this week, UK in November..
And here's something we found while stomping ankle deep in mud through the forest..

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
Holy shit! What's that skull from?
Looks like a sheep's skull.
I'm pretty sure it's a Deer.. or a Jabberwocky. Eye sockets are far too big for a sheep and there's none in the New Forest anyway, probably because of the Jabberwocky's.
Quite a find though, it's proper wild out there in some parts.
Here's a couple more, huge nasal cavity (slightly out of focus)
And a close up of the fine bones inside it, very delicate.
It's not as big as it looks in the photo's, probably 20cm long and 1 kilo in weight.

Finally managed to get some food in this cat yesterday. Deserted by the next door neighbours who used to take care of her. She is extrmemly skittish, so it was an on going effort to get her to a point where she could get the food.

You need to put a dab of oil on that railing.

aye - tis a sheep.
It's a Deer.. a female one.
Besides, there aren't any sheep in the New Forest, they cause too much damage, unless the Jabberwocky dragged one over the border from Hampshire.![]()
Doe!
Thought it looked like a sheep, but they are similar.
