@Lulu - thanks for the repost. If you're going to Coron, invite me & G.Fawn too, she lives near there. But...can you handle both of us? Lol.
@tizme- yeah, weather was good in Coron. Was cloudy most days, some drizzle, but no thunderstorm due to Habagat. Today it was very sunny, as it was in Manila too. I've heard that it was rainy during the weekend in Calabarzon.
@neo - have been to Bolinao, many years ago. It was a very sleepy fishing town/ village. Now, it looks like there are resorts too. What's the name of that resort? How's married life? ;) Btw, drop me a pm if ever you're in Manila and you'll buy me that coffee - you owe me several. Haha.

Saw some Chinese, Japanese & Korean tourists, some whites, but mostly local tourists. Due to the closure of Boracay, tourists are now choosing Coron or El Nido for holidays. On one side, it's good for the locals, as tourism generates jobs & income. On another side, a part of me doesn't like tourism - to protect its biodiversity. For now, Coron waters are still so clean & pure, white sand beaches, the mountains still full of trees. I don't know if in 10 years, it will still be so. It might become another Boracay or Maya Bay.
I am not easily impressed by beaches, but I was impressed by Coron. My sister visited it in the 90s for a uni trip (marine & wildlife study). She said it was very crude and provincial - a fishing village. Their group stayed in a home stay & slept on mattresses or mats on the floor. The host family cooked their food. There was no electricity. Now, there are lots of inns & guesthouses, and some 4-5 storey hotels - some with pools. Several restos, bars, souvenir shops, etc. There are also organized island hopping tour packages - you can choose depending on your time & budget. I just hope that the local gov't will be able to control tourism and not let the island rot, like Boracay....
Sorry for the long post...
The glasses and longer hair definitely change you.

The camera makes it look better than it actually was. The dirty greyness of it all reminded me of pictures of victorian slums.
