The retired ATT worker manning the gift shop told me the history on this piece. Apparently a 16th century rendition that the Nazis held on/in some mountain during the second world war. I forgot most what he said as he did talk a lot. He did say they didn't know what it (the representation of Jesus) was made of.
It appeared to have a physical presence and he had said he touched the statue so naturally I ruled out the Holy Ghost. But hey, who knows.

A new reservoir completed last year. It's in Chalong, about 1 km from my house. Good new road around it, which makes it ideal for cycling circuits along with a couple of 15% ramps to get the heart rate up. Expecting to see it filling up after a few more months now we're into the wet season.
